The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace occupy main quarters of the former Edo Castle and cover 210,000 square meters and have been open to the public since 1 October, 1968.
Special Exhibition for the 20th Anniversary of the Enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor is held from November 14th through 23rd, 2009 at the gardens.
